Paro Festival Tour Bhutan 2025

The Paro Tshechu (festival) is a major highlight on the Bhutanese cultural calendar. Held in April annually it attracts both locls and visitors alike.

Tour Introduction:
The Paro Festival is a very popular annual event in Bhutan and we have a few spaces left on our Paro Festival small group tour. This is an ‘all-inclusive’ land tour, 10-20 April 2025, featuring a very experienced Bhutanese guide who speaks great English.

Fun Fact:
Did you know pop singer Ed Sheeran is performing in Bhutan in JAN25. The first ever western music act to visit Bhutan.

The Paro Festival (Tshechu) is an annual Buddhist Festival and a highlight events on the Bhutanese calendar. Ths festival has significant religious significance, commemorating the birth  of Guru Rinpoche, who introduced Buddhism in Bhutan. Bhutanese Tshechus are usually performed in the courtyards of Bhutan’s ancient Dzongs.

During this tshechu period in April travellers can expect fine, usually clear weather, with cool nights/mornings and pleasant mild days.  

The Paro Festival, Thimphu Festival and Black-Necked Crane festival are generally accepted as being held on the gazetted dates each year, whereas all other Bhutanese festivals may be subject to date changes at late notice.
