Covid-19 Bhutan Travel – To Defer or Cancel??

A vulture flying through the sky in Bhutan

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many travellers are facing cancellation or major disruption to their carefully planned arrangements in 2020. Their dilemma is often ‘do we cancel outright or defer our arrangements to a later date?’

Since the onset of Covid-19, we encourage our travellers to DEFER their arrangements, rather than cancel them outright, for a better financial result.

Most airlines, hotels & tour operators are flexible in this situation. When travel must be changed, due to Covid-19, they are allowing deferral of travel for up to 20 December 2021! This will enable most travellers to find suitable new dates and we can reinstate their bookings accordingly. Bhutan & Beyond will NOT levy service fees to handle your travel deferral process, other than any seasonal tariff fluctuations that may result from your new dates.

By early June we will start deferring our August bookings, unless the situation has miraculously improved. We have no crystal ball however, we are hoping to see a resumption of travel by early September. We’ll keep you posted.

During the Covid-19 period our office is open Monday to Friday, between 09.00am and 11.30am, should you wish to chat with us by phone. We will be happy to discuss your current or future travel plans. Toll free 1300 367875. Tashi delek, James & Nicola / Bhutan & Beyond.
