Authentic Training Experience For Local Bhutanese Students.
Tourism and hospitality students at The Royal Institute for Tourism and Hospitality receive hands-on training of 120 hours each per year at Zhiwa Ling Ascent. Here they learn valuable skills from making room reservations to check-in and check-out, and culinary arts – including wine service – to spa therapy. All services are taught to the students under the supervision of an experienced and professional hospitality team.

Cancellation Policy:
2025 & 2026 Booking & Payment Conditions.
- A deposit of 10% of the accommodation value of your stay, is required within 15 business days and no later than 60 days prior to arrival.
- Final payment of the remaining value must be received no later than 60 days prior to your arrival in Bhutan.
- Bookings received within 30 days of scheduled arrival in Bhutan require full prepayment of the entire program at time of booking.
- The initial 10% payment will not be refunded if the booking is cancelled within 60 days of the scheduled arrival in Bhutan.
- Should the balance payment not be received within the guidelines above, the booking will be considered as cancelled and the initial 10% payment will be forfeited.
- No refunds on prepayments of the entire program (ie. including tax, service charge and any relevant government tariffs and royalties), will be made if cancellations are made within 60 days of arrival in Bhutan.
- No refunds will be extended on early departures.
