INDIA COVID-19 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Updated 18FEB22.
India is now open for many foreign tourist visitors.
Below please find the current India COVID-19 entry requirements.
- All travellers must be double vaccinated and hold a valid official certificate as proof.
- Travellers to India must submit an on-line self-declaration form, via the official ‘Air Suvidha’ portal, in advance of their arrival flight into India and including travel details for the preceding 14 days.
- Please remember your airline requirements may differ and be additional to these India entry requirements.
- In addition, current Australian COVID-19 regulations require you to complete a Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) and submit it on-line at least 72 hrs (3 days) before your return departure for Australia.**
** Part of the DPD requires a negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result, or other nucleic acid amplification test result, within 3 days of the flight’s scheduled departure to Australia. ALTERNATIVELY a medical certificate as evidence of a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) taken under medical supervision within 24 hours before the flight’s scheduled departure to Australia.
HOT TIPS!
Please ensure your read the FAQ’s section in the Air Suvidha portal BEFORE you try and complete the India self-declaration form. There are quite a few idiosyncrasies and a careful review will make the process much easier for travellers. Although it might seem only Delhi Airport is permiited for entry, you will discover all major airports in India are using this system.
And please do ensure you activate a comprehensive travel insurance policy, incl COVID-19 cover, well in advance of your departure date, for your protection.
