TMA Bhutan Conference Study Tour
Wednesday 20 May to Friday 05 June, 2020
A visit to Bhutan is truly a privilege and it consistently elicits accolades from our returning travellers. Taking the ‘road less travelled’ through the more remote eastern side of Bhutan is a rare treat. This itinerary will immerse you in the delightful, yet mysterious, Bhutanese culture; give you access to basic Health Units (BHU’s) in many valleys plus you will be amazed at the pristine scenery. It will be a journey of discovery and a most rewarding experience.
Dear TMA members,
I am pleased to present the below draft itinerary for a potential TMA meeting location for 2020.
This has been prepared by our travel agent, James Irving who booked the Bhutan meeting last time (and did a fantastic organisational job of doing so).
I am mindful of the fact that all members will not be in a position to attend an overseas meeting, and for those unable to attend there would be no other meeting that year, so if very few persons are in a position to attend in Bhutan, then it would be a bit pointless to run it overseas.
Also – as part of the clinical program, we need each delegate to give a 30-45 min presentation, eg case study, vaccine, disease or country summary etc – these would likely be in the morning each day
Partners are welcome (provided the numbers permit).
This meeting will require some advance planning so if you are interested we are asking for a A$100 deposit payable to Bhutan & Beyond by 17 August & refundable after 30 Aug if the meeting does not proceed.
