The latest COVID-19 requirements to enter Nepal:-
- Travellers must be fully vaccinated and present their vaccination certificate on arrival in Kathmandu.
- There is no longer a requirement for a negative PCR test before boarding your aircraft to Nepal.
- Travellers need to complete a CCMC form https://ccmc.gov.np/arms/person_add_en.php. After submitting the form, a System Generated Bar Code is displayed, please take a screenshot or print it as you need to show it while boarding the flight as well as at the immigration office in Kathmandu Airport.
- Travellers must carry their proof of double vaccination certificate. Their last vaccination date should not be less than 14 days before boarding the flight into Nepal.
- While departing Nepal, travellers need to take another PCR test 48 hours before boarding the departure flight. Currently the PCR test cost is approx USD 20 which they need to pay directly. Our Nepal tour operator, Intertours-Nepal, will assist Bhutan & Beyond travellers to undertake this PCR TEST. In addition, they also need to complete a CCMC departure form https://ccmc.gov.np/atms/person_add_atms_en.php. After submitting the form, a System Generated Bar Code is displayed, please take a screenshot or print it as you need to show it while boarding the flight as well as at the immigration office in Kathmandu Airport.
- Please remember airline requirements may differ and be additional to these above India entry requirements.
- And current Australian COVID-19 regulations, to allow your re-entry into Australia, require you to complete a Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) and submit it on-line at least 72 hrs (3 days) before your departure for Australia.**
** Part of the DPD requires a negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test or other nucleic acid amplification test result within 3 days of the flight’s scheduled departure to Australia, or a medical certificate as evidence of a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) taken under medical supervision within 24 hours before the flight’s scheduled departure to Australia.
HOT TIPS:
A Nepal visa is available on arrival, at Kathmandu airport, however you must show your double vaccination certificate upon arrival.
Bhutan & Beyond recommends all travellers strongly consider a 3rd COVID-19 ‘booster’ vaccination, before travelling, for your enhanced protection. AND that you hold a suitable travel insurance policy, incl COVID-19 cover, for your protection.
